Well so much for that season! A little short by my standards, but oh well! We went out with a blast I guess!
Hope people got a chance to get out with the dumping we finally did get…would have been nice to have that a little earlier but not much we can do about that! We did have a little scheduling issue as the flu had taken out several operator and we didn’t make it out with the south groomer right away, but it did make it out before the weekend!
We could have used a few extra “volunteer trail inspectors” to let us know how things are out there, as we can’t officially open until we’ve inspected for obstacles and proper signage. So if you are looking to help out a little, we are in need a few extra people to take on some trail miles and let us know how things look! Doesn’t mean you have to do all the work yourself, but we need reports back from the different areas.
Wanted to thank our many volunteers, landowners and vendors for all the behind the scenes hard work to setup and maintain our trail system, many of us are snowmobilers and simply do this for the love of the sport. It takes a great many hours to get the trails ready regardless of whether the trails actually open or not. Clubs south and north of us never did get open even once! Our landowners deserve another round of applause and thank you, as without them our trail system sure would be limited wouldn’t it!!! Many landowners and local residents don’t look upon our sport the way we do, but it is very much appreciated that we can work together for our short season!
I thoroughly enjoyed our big club trip this year and look forward to many more over the next few years! We have a great bunch of people within the club and it is wonderful to spend time with all of them!
Thanks very much to all!
