Well, “the weather outside is frightful” never had more meaning in the song then now I suppose, wow, +8C this morning with more rain, with no great outlook for cold temps in the near future. But we are at the mercy of mother nature, and it appears to be everywhere, not just in our area.
We’ll keep you posted and hope for the best, but for now, have a fabulous holiday season with family and friends, as you get the opportunity to reminisce about the good old days of snow filled winters…I was forwarded an image from one of our long time members of himself on a snowmobile in the middle of a grassy field….in a T-shirt in January 1980…it happens.
The image included with this note was the snowfall we had in late November of this year for our quick “Test and Tune” session around the fields….yes we had fun with the kids (yes I’m a big kid!). Perhaps we were a little too aggressive on our lean angles for the tight corners in the powder, but trust me when I say we enjoyed ourselves!!
Enjoy the holidays, be safe,
The Volunteers of the Orillia District Snowmobile Club!
