Might be a little late in the year, but trust me when I say, any snow is good snow at this point!!!!!
Groomers are out there, so be careful!!! They are out during the day, so if you happen to be out “inspecting the trails” drive as if there is a groomer or downed tree around every corner!!!
We got about a ft in some spots, as it was blowing around a lot, but since it’s cold, its dry sugar snow, so doesn’t pack much at all….and there is NO BASE, so if you have studs, please be careful not to dig too much on take off as you will dig the trail underneath!!!!! Not good if you are the farmer wondering why there are bare spots in the fields in the spring time!!
Trail signs and marker posts may have been blown in the dry spell, and there is absolutely no protection for buried objects, so trust me when I say, trees, rocks, stumps, will jump out at you with amazing speed!!! Drive responsibly! Fields will be bumpy underneath, we are starting from scratch!!!!
Our focus will be to get the rail trails open, then we’ll see how it looks for sections of the bush trails…with double digit temps scheduled for early next week, this is not going to be a long run!!! We’ll open what we can with what snow we have…it will be bumpy in a hurry with any type of traffic, but maybe we can get a weekend out of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don’t expect to do any major loops, just small sections of whatever we can get to.
Wahoooo!!!! At least its something!!!!!
