Well we made it to the weekend, and just about everything on the west side of the lake is open limited for us. Groomers are out in full swing….still daytime grooming going on as well, as we are running longer shifts to get everything ready. Snow is still thin, so not much to work with, and won’t last long with the increased traffic but we’ll keep forging on!!!
The B105 heading north to the North River doesn’t have a lot of snow and still has some water issues, so best not to try that for a short while yet. Although the swamps appear frozen enough for a snowmobile, we didn’t want to run a groomer over them and break them up, so thought we’d wait an extra few days…then we can get to grooming that trail as well.
It’s nice and chili out there this morning, so just think of the ice that its building now! We need it for the swamps and lakes. I would sill avoid the lake this weekend, then hopefully it’ll be thick enough to get a stake line out very soon.
Get out and enjoy it where you can, but please remember there are lots of others out there as well, including walkers with dogs, so keep n eye out! Many trails are multi-use!
The snow coverage is still a little thin, so stumps and rocks may appear in front of your eyes with amazing speed and clarity as you cloon over them….not usually a good thing!!!
Play safe everyone!!!
