We’re struggling this year, and I realize everyone is getting a little ansi, (so are we!) to get out somewhere, but the streamers that came through at the beginning of the week were very limited, so Oro has a ft, but Orillia doesn’t have as much, and north of Orillia has hardly anything. Coldwater and Midland hardly got any, the east side of Lake Couchiching has pretty much nothing.
I will say that the groomers are out packing what limited snow we have, but, we have serious water issues this year, as nothing is frozen!!!
…..we lost a machine last night in the swamp…..someone was trying to get a jump on the season, and their machine is now in frozen mud up to the cowling….they are chipping it out this morning…..not good….
So best to say “if you don’t know, don’t go”
Although we got a few flurries this morning, its not adding up to much, and tomorrows +2C isn’t going to help.
The groomers are out, they are packing in what little bit we have to get a base started, but it’s scary with the water and wet areas.
We’ll aim to get the dry sections open, but they won’t lead anywhere!!!
Please stay off the private lands as this is the time of year the snowmobiles do damage to the crops underneath in the fields, as it’s not frozen, so not only do you rattle your teeth out going across it, the farmer is not happy with tracks everywhere, and we may loose the trail access for the next year! it’s not worth it!!!
Thanks for your patience!
