GROOMING:
DID YOU KNOW?

* Orillia's fleet of  three Groomers operate every night of the week - Weather and conditions permitting.  Even with this aggressive schedule, the 350 Km of trail are groomed, on average, every other day.

* That a Groomer's maximum speed is less than 7 Km per hour?

* That a trail surface takes a minimum of 4 hours to set-up after grooming...given the right temperature conditions.

*  Sleds traveling aggressively on a "just" groomed trail will destroy an entire nights work (and also the following days ride).

TRUE OR FALSE:

Landowners are compensated for the use of their property.
FALSE:  Our sports greatest supporters do so with out any type of payment.  RESPECT their property and the privilege they extend to us.

Club Executive Members and Active Volunteers get their Trail passes for Free.
ABSOLUTELY FALSE:  No one rides for free.  That is why we do not have much use or sympathy for those  caught on the trail without a PASS.

Come and experience over 350 kilometres of  superb groomed trails in and around the Orillia area. The Orillia District Snowmobile Club Inc. (ODSCI) has been in existence since 1976. Our volunteers do an excellent job of maintaining our trails, teaching driver courses and hosting community events.

New members are always welcome! We meet the first Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm at the Brian Orser Arena, 433 Gill Street in Orillia (click here for map).

We are working in partnership with the City of Orillia, and the Trails Committee to improve the access in and around the city.
